How we share job details with tradespeople

Clear rules on exactly what is shared, and what stays private.

Last updated: 19 June 2026

The privacy-safe preview

When you post a job and consent to lead sharing, suitable local tradespeople may see a privacy-safe preview so they can decide whether to respond. This can include:

  • The trade and job type
  • Your town or city, and outward postcode only (for example BS3)
  • Urgency and budget range
  • An approximate job-value band
  • A sanitised job summary with personal details removed
  • Whether photos or video are available (the files themselves are not shown)
  • Quote-readiness and lead-quality labels

What is never shared in a preview

  • Your phone number or email address
  • Your full name or surname
  • Your exact address or full postcode
  • Your uploaded photos, videos or documents

These are only shared with a tradesperson once they unlock your job through the platform — meaning they've chosen to engage and pay to do so.

Your consent

We record the exact consent wording you agreed to, along with the time it was given. If you do not consent to privacy-safe lead sharing, we will not share your job with tradespeople in this way. Marketing messages are always a separate, optional choice.

Contractor outreach

Where enabled, we may invite suitable local tradespeople who aren't yet registered to view the same privacy-safe preview. The same rules apply — no contact details, no media, no exact address. See our privacy policy for more.

Note: This document is a plain-English starting point provided with the platform. It is not legal advice. Before launch you should have it reviewed and adapted by a qualified professional for your business and jurisdiction.
