What to do if a quote seems too cheap
How to check a low quote without assuming it is automatically wrong.
Ask what is included
A low quote may be fine if the job is simple, but ask whether labour, materials, VAT, waste, access equipment and making-good are included.
Ask what could change the price
Good trades can explain what assumptions they made and what would count as extra work.
Compare risk, not just cost
If the quote is much cheaper and less detailed than others, pause before accepting. Missing detail can be a bigger problem than a higher price.
